I am looking to purchase a new coffee mug, and I am having a hard time finding one that is not made in china.

I would like it to be:

16 ounces min, 20 prefered
Stainless steel
Double walled, vacuum
Leak proof

I am putting this out there in case anyone knows off the top of their head, a brand/model that works. I will keep hunting.

TIA

Cant recommend anything, but glad to see you choosing to not buy Chineese. We all need to pay more attention to "Buy American".

Thanks for the post.

I have the Contigo ones sold by QVC (or HSN, not sure which it was a gift) and love it. But mine does say made in china on the bottom.

Metal-Spinning is not nearly as hard as most think. As to that, look at where most metal-spinning is done. Third-World countries.

Ergo, why don't you go to your neighborhood machine-shop, and have them make what you want. That way, you can garun-damn-tee that what you've got is "Made in the U-S-of-A".

Now about the makers of the Stainless steel......

I was going to purchase the Contigo until I found a review that said that they are MiC. I work construction, so I don't think ceramic will last long.

I have one that I've been using for 2 years so far. I drive a dump truck/sander at work and do road maintenece. This thing has been through hell and is still keeping my coffee HOT and doesnt leak a drop.

Edit...nevermind, didn't catch the "made in china" problem.
