Rifle and Pistol Range Manager – Colorado Clays Shooting Park (Brighton, CO)
Colorado Clays Shooting Park is located 30 minutes from downtown Denver and has been operating as a high volume,
premier shotgun shooting facility for 16 years. We are opening a rifle and pistol range and we are looking for
someone to take the lead.
Job Description:
The Rifle and Pistol Range Manager is responsible for the safety of all customers and staff. Candidate has extensive
knowledge and background in the operation of firearms of all types, and may be called upon to offer assistance for
shooters using the lanes. Primary duty is to organize, conduct and supervise safe shooting activities/environment and
range operations for all shooters at all times. Candidate communicates well with the public and staff, is highly
motivated, organized and can multi-task without missing details. The Rifle and Pistol Range Manager provides program
development and input into the efficient daily management of the range. Candidate ensures that the entire facility and
all operations are maintained at the highest standards as well as safety; following Colorado Clay’s policies at all times,
including hiring and training of employees. Candidate will be assisting the Owner/Operator in opening/managing this
new rifle and pistol range. This is a great opportunity for the right person to be an integral part of the Colorado Clays

Position Duties/Requirements
This full-time position requires someone who has rifle and pistol range management experience.
Development of programming including safety, shooting classes, matches and other range functions.
Knowledge of other shooting sports besides rifle and pistol shooting including shotgun shooting.
Provide input into the efficient management of the range.
Excellent people skills and communicate in a professional and courteous manner with everyone.
Ability to help with the hiring and management of part-time range officers.
Must be able to supervise and train employees.
Monitor all activity on the shooting range at all times.
Maintain productive relationships with established customers.
Maintain a well groomed, professional appearance at all times.
Assist customers with appropriate lane and target operation.
Promote and smoothly execute instructional programs and shooting events.
Qualifications:
Candidate must be 21 years or older.
Proficient with office equipment and technology.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
Must have or be willing to acquire NRA Instructor Certification and Range Officer Certification
Must be able to work weekends.
Highly self-motivated/able to work without direction.
Naturally friendly and positive daily attitude with excellent communication skills.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities.
Ability to fluently read and write English.
Proficient with handguns, rifles, shotguns.
Must pass national criminal background check.
