For all you Colorado members - I just visited Specialty Shooting Sports in Colorado Springs yesterday and I was blown away by the inventory in that store. They had everything from Sako TRG's to POF .308's to Desert Tactical Arms SRS. They have Eberlestock packs and all the shelves were full of ammunition. Definitely check out this place if you are in the Springs area....

How were their prices from what you could see?? Some stuff is almost fixed cost but others can vary depending on the shop.

I've heard it's the second largest gunstore in the nation. That was from a Ruger rep. From what I've seen, it's likely true.

Their prices are almost uniformly high, and the customer service is terrible. The counter guys and gals there are remarkably, consistently rude. They're famous for it.

I go there to see something in person, then somewhere else to buy if possible.

As far as number of guns, they have quite a few, right up there with Whittaker's out of KY. I have had a good experience with a humble counter worker, older guy can't remember his name. However last time I was in there, a worker told a customer that there was no real difference between a LWRC REPR and the Larue OBR, that it was mainly just the logos on the guns and the furniture.

they are hella rude there no one wants to help you unless you have your money stapled to your head then they will jump for you, a while back I waited 30 min for someone to help me finally I said I want to buy that and then in seconds I was helped think that was the last time I shopped there... now Bravo arms has a bunch of top drawer stuff and even if your not buying you could go in there and hold every gun if you wanted

The place is called Specialty Sports and Supply.

One of the owners is a friend of mine. You won't find a better selection there - over 4,000 firearms in stock, 1500+ on display.

Discount prices? NO - but, if you want to walk into a place, finger something and 5 variants/similar items, then walk out with what you want along with ammo and accessories to go with it, they are the place to go.

My bad on the name. I had no problem getting help and every rep asked me if I needed any help. Some of the firearms were a little more expensive than other places I've looked but some of the tac gear was a lot less expensive than other places I've looked.

    +1

I won't say everyone in Specialty is a rude bastard, but there are way too many of them in there to make it a pleasant shopping experience. If you must go, talk to Matt. He is definitely a decent individual.

I much prefer going to Bravo Arms as well. Tim, Brian, and Justin are absolutely customer-oriented. If the shop was only big enough to have a reloading section I likely wouldn't stop anywhere else.

Very cool, I'll check it out, FYI (not that I'm super fond of them) but The Firing Line has a few GAPs. that was interesting.

My All Time Fav is still Green Mountain Guns
