Comcast Fiber cut?

Video in from the location of the damaged cable. They said "Why would we call 811? We don't care about the traffic report."

I got internet but no email/outlook. Maybe this is reason? I dunno.

1J04 has problems but over here on this side, I don't. Xfinity is Comcast, right? So everything is and has been working for me. Email included.

That's crazy, somebody was definitely trying to fuck shit up! Splicing fiber optic is time consuming and expensive. I'm guessing after the weeks or maybe months it takes to identify which fiber is which, they can start splicing. How do you trace fiber optic? I know how to do it with copper but you can't attach a tone generator to fiber optic and use a wand to track it down. What a mess. Some technicians will be making huge bucks fixing this though, I know that.

Would have seriously blown for me, my internet is through them and thus the computer and streaming services. I know if I lived around there and they didn't have a timeframe, and there was another provider, I'd probably switch to them. At least until it was unfucked. Wonder if that was the plan?

I hit one of those cables with a gas operated post hole digger. Took out the whole town of Llano Texas for a day. They were pissed. Yuure correct, theres thousands of those little 'wires'. From watching the guy they all appear to be color coded.
