I just got in some Nosler Varmageddon bullets, 62 grain flat base hollow point.
For load data, I use three sources:
Hornady, 9th Ed.
Lee, 2nd Ed.
Hodgdon, website.
I'm trying to find load data for these, but I'm seeing conflicting information across my three sources.
Hornady & Lee don't have load data for Varget in 62 grain, but it does have it for 60 grain flat base.
Hornady lists 21.7 - 24.9 as the range for Varget with a 60 grain bullet.
Lee lists 25 - 27 grains as the range for Varget with a 60 grain bullet.
Hodgdon's website lists 22.1 - 24.1 for a 62 grain SFT SCIR bullet (whatever THAT is).
Thoughts?
Edit: So I got my hands on the Nosler load manual, which lists 60/62 grain (good to see that I was right in thinking that 60 & 62 grain bullets are close enough to have their load data listed together), at 22.5 - 24.5 grains.
I think I will try the 23 - 25 grain range in .5 grain increments, it seems to be a safe range to experiment over.
