Copper

With a hammer forged barrel , does it really matter to clean out the the copper when it's used for hunting only?

Does it matter when trying different brands for groups ?

I never clean the copper out of my barrels until accuracy fades-usually after 400-500 rounds, which few people will shoot over the lifetime of their hunting rifles. My son and I easily shoot over 1000 rounds a month over our four rifles.
