I was in Marblehead MA yesterday.
Bunch of quaint houses with little signs on them stating shit like "House of Capt Jones, 1750", tightly packed in amongst tightly packed small business store fronts from the 1800s.
All the businesses, coffee shops, boutique eateries, etc were closed.
Streets were full of traffic. It was a beautiful day, everyone wanted to be out so they were all in their cars driving the coast, me included.
From Revere Beach to Marblehead the state had lined the right, or beach side, of the road as we traveled north with orange barrels preventing parking and placed an occasional sign about social distancing.....
None of the businesses fronting the water except a Walmart in Lynn, CVS, Walgreens and liquor stores were open.
Intended or not Corona Virus has been very, very good for the chosen ones.
Tried to buy some burgers on the ride home but Whole Foods had a line enforcing one shopper out, one shopper in.....we just went home for chicken on the grill instead.

I don't think the virus is a ploy but how it has been handled definitely is questionable.
If it were true? What you gonna do about it? People are so afraid of each other you could not gather a crowd large enough to protest it or stop it.

When we hit that shit stretch on the Lynnway between Point of Pines and Nahant one of the riders in the Honda decided they needed to deuce.
Walmart had a line. The Heads in the local grocery store were closed for Covid 19. That left us with the Shell Station across from the Methadone clinic.....
We opted for a random Porta Potty we found in the electrical transformer station just north of Hood Milk.

I made a shit ton of bad decisions in Lynn, MA. Lived there from birth to 28 and then moved to Nahant where I lived for 9 years....they were happy years. I loved living in Nahant and then my first bitch wife wanted to move to CA for a "change".

There is a huge parcel of land called Lynn Woods...Lots of interesting things live there and, more importantly, are buried there
Places like Lynn were the generator of our country - blue collar workers, working hard and their kids were almost guaranteed to be stepping up in life. Lots of heavy manufacturing building things of value.

Have to make another trip to Nahant to visit the former coast artillery site.
Never knew it was out there. Currently closed due to CV19.

that is 5-7 times the amount of deaths in comparison to the flu

5-7 x 40,000 = 2-300,000 deaths
and this virus is apparently much easier to transmit
so if this virus which is easier to transmit infects 25% more people the death toll could climb to 3-400,000 easily
3-400,000 is half the population of Wyoming, the flu doesnt wipe out half a state
NYS looses 3-4000 people every year form the flu
