court awards visitation rights to a rapist

Check the righteous indignation, at least a bit. If this is the same story I read, the woman filed for financial assistance with the state government. As per their protocol, they went after the father of the kid for child support. In the course of that, the father was awarded visitation rights he never asked for. And, he’s now on the hook for child support. The man’s lawyer said he did not initiate the suit for custody (the state did it) and that he has no intention to visit either the woman or the kid.

call me a monkey, but i'll be damned if i take the word of a scumbag that kidnapped and raped a 12 YEAR OLD GIRL over the word of the victim. who, evidenced by the facts, has done everything imaginable to protect that child. 99.9% of people would have aborted. her actions (then and now) speak of her charactor.

moreover, she is the victim of a violent crime...one of the worst imaginable. the same court that you are sure got everything right, also gave the rapist her address. according to the mother, he HAS asked to see the child. again, i'll trust her on this, period. anyone who rapes a 12 year old girl gets NO consideration from me. if i had my way, i'da thrown him to the girl's family....or into a woodchipper feet first.

i hope you never have a loved one go through anything like this. i have nothing but the utmost respect for this young lady. and as far as "rightous indignation", not quite. i am pretty sure i read about it initially here, and figured some folks might be interested in seeing it, as i was.

12 years old. kidnapped and raped. pregnant at 12. chose the baby over her future. wow.

My point is only that- again if this is the same case- the state initiated the process in order to hold the rapist accountable for child support, as the mother had applied for welfare.

I don't get the whole, "the father needs to be involved", bullshit. His "involvement" was a crime. That should not allow him to come back and terrorize the woman he raped, or the child born of that rape.

We had a friend in Montana, who the judge ruled the father had the right to see their daughter. Even though he had molested her, and spent time in jail for it. The ex-wife had enough and fortunately for her had a place she could go and get off the grid. Boom, one day she disappeared. We'd get cards from her from time to time. But, she wasn't putting up with that shit. If the state won't pay to make him pay what he owes, they goddamn well better not spend the money to enforce their shit on her.

yeah, the courts changed their shit after the public attention it got. turn on a light, and watch the fucking cockroaches run for cover. fuckign scumbags. WHOLE lot of CYA going on there.

and yes, that fucker is still out repeat offending. one can only hope a father gets ahold of him and beats him to death. slowly.
