I have been thinking of creating a trust for all my weapons. This will be done in Colorado so if anyone can recommend an attorney that would be great.
My concerns/questions
1.) price
2.) Pros/cons of doing a trust
3.) Can trusts protect against weapons ban?
4.) Transferring current class III items to the trust.

Eventually I would like to add a house to the trust along with vehicles.

Well you have to transfer the nfa item to the Trust as though it's another person. So another $200 and Form 4 with the long wait. But you as the current owner can still use the item.

Talk to a good attorney. If you dont have one try

Affordable Legal Services & Legal Plans | LegalShield

You join for about $18 a month and have unlimited acess to a competent attorney who can answer questions and give you advice on any subject, and even some trial time for that amt. You also get a significant discount if you hire them to do work.

Here in Virginia it is Framme Law Firm which is a top rated firm. I have been completely pleased with them as have several friends I turned onto them.

They have several attorneys listed in each state.
You will have to pay the $200 on each nfa item you transfer into the trust.
I'm in the same boat.
Shoulda done the trust first then bought the nfa stuff.
