Has anyone ever purchased a demo scope? I was looking at nightforce demos and was wondering what to expect if buying one.

I have two an ATACR 5 x 25 and an ATACR 7 x 35. Both function flawlessly and come with Nightforce's warranty. One is on a 338LM and the other a 300NM

Has anyone ever purchased a demo scope? I was looking at nightforce demos and was wondering what to expect if buying one.

Picked up a demo Kahles K16i not long ago. I honestly couldn’t tell it was a demo. It looks brand new. I wouldn’t hesitate to go the demo route again from a reputable company.

I bought a demo NF from Mile High a while ago and the only thing noticable was a very small scuff mark on the bell.

I have bought returns even, and it looked new in box. I am never afraid to go that route, assuming you buy from Cameraland, EuroOptic, etc...

I've bought demo units from Mike High and Euro Optic WTH great success, and would do it again without hesitation.

Just makes sure that you're buying from a reputable dealer, and that you fully understand any effect on warranty coverage.

i know its not in the same league as the others mentioned but i bought a demo athlon midas tac from camera land. no issues with it what so ever. i think if you are buying from a trusted vendor you should be good to go

I bought a pair of Swarovski SHOT Show floor demo 8x40 EL binoculars from SWFA twenty years ago.. I dunno, a few hundred people probably picked them up, looked through them, and put 'em down. Someone walked off with the objective lens covers, but I think I got $300 off. They still work great for me.

Not all demo/display/open box scopes are the same, some are practically brand new and others may be trashed. Buy from a reputable dealer who will list the description and/or pics like ourselves

I've also heard and read these are very good deals. I have probably spent money on new when the savings on a Demo would have paid for a muzzle break or some other item I needed.
