Hi guys,

Sorting pistol brass last night and ran across a few casings that are dented. Most on the side and a few at the neck. I sat those aside and was going to toss them but decided to ask you guys with more experience whether to keep and use them. I think I will toss those with neck issues but what about the side of the case if the dent appears minor? Does any damage automatically affect the structural integrity of the case? Thanks.

Thanks guys. I would post pictures if I was smart enough to figure out how to do it. It is amazing how a college education can be wasted on some folks... My excuse is that I getting old.

typically if the dent is creased at all, i chuck it....if its small and smooth and comes out in reforming, ill reload it.

brass is cheap.....damage from a ruptured case typically isnt.....if you have any doubt, chuck it.
