No, the OD "led to a death" . . . the situation caused Chauvin to be in the blast radius. There is *ZERO* support from anyone that GF would still be alive had he not interacted with police. Heck, had it gone thag way, GF would be just as dead, but the cause on the street would be "death by dumba$$" and the natives would not be shaking the trees to a) get whitey and/or b) Get millions flr a guy not worth much more than $10 . . . Discretion is bullshit, and a tool well used by criminals. The law is the law, period . . .
this would be correct if floyd regularly ate his drugs, but i would think it more likely floyd ate them to avoid a possession charge.
that said, he still killed himself, jmo.

So if someone took too many drugs I can do whatever I want to them?
No, but if you deal with them in a manner that causes no documened harm (as is the case here), your actions are irrelevent. Read my post again: This was a no-win. GF was dead no matter what, and under those conditions, he would be pretty much impossible to murder . . . Kinda like a death row execution being 2 of 3 drugs in, and then the table collapsing and breaking the convicts neck. Would anyone actually consider the cause of death to be the fall? Pretty much the same here from my viewpoint . . .

Well, it "looked" good enough for Minneapolis to give his survivors $27 million. Not bad for a going no where fast dying junkie.
Never consider libtard induced stupidity to have anything to do with actual fact, or right/wrong. This may well just be a) "the natives" using it as an excuse to give away free s**t, b) To bias the trial by trying tl imply guilt lr c)Naively thinking they could buy a peaceful response from thugtown . . . (Myself, I thjnm b is most likely, since libtards don't believe in rules or process.)

I can do anything I want to a someone, say the protect class like a cop, so long as a doctor (on my pay roll) can’t document any damage?

We really want to go down that road?

Hanging out on that dudes neck for long enough to watch two music videos, I don’t see the defense, which is why they overcharged him, best way to sweep it under the rug without looking like you’re sweeping it under the rug.

So the inanimate video camera is lying, and the officer is telling the truth?

Does that shit actually fly with juries?
If so I guess that thing about being judged by people too dumb to get out of jury duty is correct
No, but creative editing can certainly get a video to portray so ething that didn't happen - IE what makes air on the MSM most of the time. Watch the *entire* uncut video, and it very often paints a different picture.

Never said or implied that . . . the point was simply that you could not be held directly responsible for the death. Other laws would still apply. And you *DO* know that this is a murder trial, right? That's the only thing on the table . . . . might still be excessive force, but *CANNOT* be cause of death.

1) Discretion is only bullshit when you are using your keyboard to narrate your verbal effluent (but it's essential when you are a public servant, and the consequences of your actions extend well beyond your own sphere of influence)
2) Non-internet expert reports do not say that OD was the cause of death, no matter how much you want them to. If you don't believe that, maybe you can use your expertise to demand a new autopsy.

Were you not to pick and choose and take me out of context, you would see how absurd that statement it . . . responded to pretty much the same question from another troll - read that, you aren't worth my time to retype it . .

They called for EMS. No evidence of trauma to his neck/throat.
Should they have apologized for responding to a call of counterfeit money?

Please quote where I said to apologize to the scum bag POS?

No, cuff him, call EMS, cuff him to the stretcher and rid with the shit bird to the ED

You know you’re not winning when you feel the need to call others a “troll” that’s right up there with “you must be Russian bot reee” lol

Personally I wish a meteor would have come down and splatted the whole lot of them, Floyd and the psycho cop, world would have been better off.

I have enough functional brain to see, having read the unedited autopsy and tox reports, that it ks the *ONLY* possible cause of death discussed that was not fully discredited, and that is 100% consistent with what happened. Fentany causes fluid in the lungs, IE asphxia, as others have noted. Neck injury was explicitly ruled out . . . Do the math . . .

So you don't think that people can be held responsible for a death, even when they didn't directly cause it, but created the situation in which the death took place? (that's a yes or no question, by the way)

Anyone not wishing to not be regarded as a troll should consider not acting like one . . . and I really don't care how you feeeeewz about that! I call them as they are!

I think that you may find that while some junkies can mask the outward signs of a heavy load, that the fatal dose will rarely vary . . . Same with drunks. They seem more clear than they are, but if tested for motor skills, response, etc. are typically found to be just as impaired as anyine else.

"Lethal" to whom? Me? You? I have a Ukranian coworker that I wouldn't drink with, if he had a one bottle head start.

I guess we'll see what the final verdict is.

I'm not a medical expert, and I doubt that you are either.

So as long as I don’t leave damage I can just go run amok and stand on people’s necks?

Also with this method of death, making perfusion more difficult didn’t help, putting a fat bastard on their gut can majorly lower their spo2 as well, again they didn’t kill him, but they didn’t help him, and sure as hell didn’t care, for how much money LE costs I think I should be able to expect more

If the industry policed their ranks better and didn’t do the blue line BS, we probably wouldn’t be in this situation, people are fed up with it and rightfully so, police seem to mainly serve themselves, the LE industry as a whole has worked very hard and earned every bit of the type of reaction they are getting.

I wish the defense lawyers when it comes time for them to present their case, would repeatedly bring in people doing the same exact move for 9+ minutes , and keep doing it over and over again, until finally the prosecution admits ok, you’re going to bring in 100 different witnesses doing the same exact thing and not a single one of them are going to die, I concede... Point proven

    FTS?

Not my fault you can't see or comprehend the facts here . . . not sure what else it could be other than an intellectual deficiency . . .
I think you are overestimating your own cognitive abilities. Not to worry, it's fairly common. About half the people in the world do it.

You'd be surprised at who in a room has an intellectual deficiency, and who doesn't.
Lethal to him, as per the autopsy report.
Can you please locate and quote the finding... the one that says cause of death was OD (otherwise known as a lethal dose of whatever)?

what's gonna happen to the girls that stole the uber car and killed the driver? justice?
Why would you think that anybody would be in favor of anything less than a murder trial for them? All evidence suggests their culpability in that death. (even though we have to caveat "innocence until guilt is proven")

    Ha!

Ashli will never get justice, have they even allowed the name of the cop to be released?

That was ultimate protected class, police AND law makers, no matter it will never be their fault.

We get it, you hate cops, I’m not fond of them either.

Drugs killed this guy, not a hold on his neck. He was screaming, it was shown on the cops body cam that he stated that he took a bunch of drugs. His head was to the side and even if he was kneeling on his corotid/jugular, he still ahas another to supply the blood needed.

if he was crushing his laranyx he wouldn’t be screaming or even be conscious.

The OD is what killed him per the autopsy.

The media spews their garbage and people like you, which seems to be a lot, eat it all up.

    We do police ourselves

Do you think police stop crime? The numbers don’t agree

I had a attempted home invasion years back, it wasn’t the cops they stopped it, it was me and one of my pistols, thankfully the scum bags were smart enough to go see I have the drop on them and it was a no win and ran off and I didn’t have to fire. I called the police after (like all the little statists are taught), long story short they found the idiots, reached for their ticket book instead of their cuffs, but basically threatened me for daring to have a gun.

A place I worked was robbed, had cameras and all, police showed up, gave them a report and that was it, zero effort to find the people who robbed them, “that’s what insurance is for“

Old town I worked in, I would drive home after night shift, past the bars, got pulled over a few times for complete BS, they WOULD NOT write a ticket, all for them to go on a fishing expedition hoping they maybe would hit the jackpot and see a beer can or something.

So yeah, we do need police, but not lawenforcers as much as peace keepers, cool with eliminating 75% of LE, most of the duties I see them do could be replaced with private meter maids, also many of the laws are designed to make work for police more than keep people safe, if you can’t show me on the doll where it hurt you I don’t think it should be much more than a non criminal fine. When I see a high speed chase for a expired driverslicense I just hope a meteor would come down and smash the whole parade of stupid.
Sorry for your predicament. Glad you were a badass, when you needed to be. Good on you (yes, I mean that). No, L.E. d/n "prevent crime", but, they sure as hell mitigate/quell it.
I just can't get into all the Po-Po hate. Like all professions, you have F'd-up individuals, but, for the most part, you have outstanding individuals.
Humans are the stupidest animal alive. We harm/steal/kill each other, just for shits and giggles. Other mammals, kill/take, for eating/defense/protection purposes.
I'm just not ready to give up on L.E. and think they're all out to get me. I might be sorry for thinking this way, but, I'll worry about it, when I need to.
As far as you getting pulled over in bar row (high vis places), any fool knows, make sure your shit is squared away. My assumption is, you had more going on than a "just passing thru" thing. Don't know, don't care.
I've been stopped a few times in my life (oh yes, I'm not perfect), but, I didn't have anything to hide either. And, I was the typical 20-30 y.o. during the 70's and 80's, hell, even the 90's, but was older and smarter then. So, my exposure to L.E. has been pretty good. Maybe I'm just F'n lucky.
If people don't want to get chased, don't run. Pretty simple really. Mac

    Thanks.

Per getting BS stopped, they would not write the ticket, and this happened a few times, it was a straight up terry stop, and that’s as a white looking dude in a nice car, register to a company, going to speed limit etc

As I get older and have more experiences with police, from getting pulled over, to using them with work, to reporting stuff, I think it’s the other way around, most are garbage but there are a few good ones in there too, sadly most range from incompetent all the way to would be SS troopers back in the day.

I really wish this wasn’t the case

i don't know if it is tribalism or what, but unfortunately today it seems like any criticism of law enforcement is perceived as criticism for all.
while i am firmly on the side of law enforcement (at the moment), i am not hesitant to call a dick a dick when i see one.

The way I see it all is this. The $20 wasn't a big deal but the cops noticed he was clearly high and being that they were there and made contact they had to detain him. They can't let him go wander around potentially hurting someone else or himself besides that he broke the law. So george decided to swallow all his drugs to hide them from the cops. They put him in the car and he bitches about that so they get him out. Now george was a good sized dude and high as a kite so they have to make sure the cops themselves don't get hurt or anyone else around them so they pin him to the ground face down so he is not a threat. The guy was talking so he could obviously breath. Was it comfortable, no I'm sure not. But he made the choices that put him there. George proceeds to doe of drug overdose while being detained. The only thing the cops did wrong was get him out of the car. They should have let him die in a puddle of his own piss in the backseat but they didn't. They got him out like he asked.

    Here here!!

Don’t want to die don’t break any laws right? Same with all those “crazy gun nuts” if the dems get their way with “gun control” amiright??!

I mean the average gun owner probably has a higher chance of being able to hurt delicate LE compared to some fat ass middle aged unarmed black guy

They got him out like he asked.
in a place run by democrats where you can burn and loot and not face any charges, i don't know why george was worried.
    except for the meth...

do you know why meth heads only do it doggy style?
so both of them can peek out the window to see who might be watching them.

    Here here!!

Don’t want to die don’t break any laws right? Same with all those “crazy gun nuts” if the dems get their way with “gun control” amiright??!

I mean the average gun owner probably has a higher chance of being able to hurt delicate LE compared to some fat ass middle aged unarmed black guy
No I don't believe you are. If you don't want to be arrested don't break the law.
If you don't want to die of a drug overdose in police custody don't take a lethal amount drugs and then do other dumb shit to get arrested.

I F'n get it. We could sit here and nit-pick forever. we don't live in F'n UTOPIA! We just have to manage the best we can. I'm old, a F'n Boomer, if you will. I much prefer the cops of my generation, than this gen., for, because, reasons, just how I feel. I believe in law and order. Now, when the Stassi comes to kick my door in, I'll deal with it at that time in the way I see fit. Mac
yup. there are still awesome andy taylors and still some barney fifes.
but you hit one an important point, and that is that the number of officers required exceeds the number of ideal candidates.
add diversity quotas and other pressures and you end up with a large number of armed officers that don't have the ideal temperament for the job.
i know for a fact that i would likely be a terrible officer because i was sort of a berserker if i was picked on when i was a kid.
    does it show? :p

So if the law says no guns, you’re going to be first to turn them in?

If the law says no talking about XYZ, you’ll shut your mouth?

Floyd was a POS, but so are lots of people, doesn’t mean we should beat the shit out of them. Sorry if you don’t like dealing/helping/de-escalating with shitty people, maybe don’t be a cop. If you can’t handle maybe getting into a few fights and maybe getting a black eye once in a while, all while remaining the more mature bigger man, don’t become a cop.

You're not getting the point. Your gun control argument has nothing in common with what happened to floyd. Are you saying he was standing up for his right to get high as fuck, try to steal shit ( that's what using counterfeit money is) and get in his car (owi) and potentially drive into oncoming traffic killing a mom and her 3 kids? Use some common sense here.
