So I am certainly not wishing to drudge up old issues about resellers and rebates, just trying to find out if the barreled actions in these two rifles are the same. I don't care about the stock, BM, and trigger as I already have a Manners with mini chassis and a Timney on the way. Just wondering if I can save a couple dollars and the hassle of a gunbroker/local FFL purchase by just dropping into the (now infamous) Dick's.

Thanks for your thoughts.

They are same weapon, sometimes Dicks does not put down the whole model when they list them. If it comes in a camo stock or a black stock with the coffin shaped forend with two sling studs in it and it has a varmint contour or heavy barrel it is the same weapon. They should all be either blind magazine or BDL magazine with a floor plate. The varmint has a blind magazine I purchased one from Dicks during their black friday sale and the SPS has the standard BDL bottom metal in it. If you are dropping them in an after market stock it does not matter because you are going to put an after market drop magazine botom metal in it.
