No. I mean exactly what I say. There is NOTHING “Liberal” about the left. What little there was fifty years ago is totally gone, and their attempts to redefine the word have failed as evidenced by their unforced switch to “Progressive”, another failed philosophy based on junk science, but a hell of a lot more apt than Liberal.
It has amused me since the inception of the internet that people allow themselves to get so offended by anonymous morons so as to allow themselves to be drawn into 'arguments' that quickly digress into infantile tantrums by all parties. The screens and wires/airborn radiation between two people can certainly remove all semblance of humanity. The internet has attributes, but it also frequently pulls off the mask of civilized man to reveal the beast within. Some of you definitely need to sit back in your chair, exhale, and maybe turn off the screen and go for a run.
But that brings me to a second point: the photos of mass graves and civilians being murdered by uniformed men -- chilling, nauseating, disturbing though they may be -- need to be viewed occasionally. By everyone. They are the chief reason why I will never (ever) allow myself to be disarmed; why I have devoted a substantial amount of time and resources to accrue enough weaponry and ammunition to arm my unprepared neighbors if need be. Advocates of unfettered government and gun control who actually believe it benefits public safety (and not the tyrants who perpetrate that lie as a means to their ends) need to be shown those photos continually, reminded that it all happened less than a human lifetime ago, that it continued to happen throughout the 20th century and still today in less thought about parts of the world, and faced with the remembrance of the 260 million odd people who met their end at the hands of their government in the 20th century alone.
Communism rises by force. I can't think of a communist state that came about peacefully (correct me if I'm wrong). The price of freedom is eternal vigilance. Anyone who eagerly anticipates a civil war hasn't seen the face of war or is a psychopath, but it may well be coming -- and if you're not prepared you are a fool.
