Kicking Ass Somewhere
First time I had more than two beers in a few years, maybe 4 years.Gotta say, in my lifetime, US beers have come from last place in the world to first place with this boutique beer revolution. All you old fks were denied good beer your whole miserable hippie fkn lives thanks to government regulations. a slight change in law and some competition and viola we are number one again in a matter of 10 years.

Maggot, Tucker, 1J04, you guys accuse me of being drunk when I post some stuff, not the case, I am pretty mellow when I drink, I reflect and plot when drinking and take action when I am sober. Its always better to be a reflective drunk , happy and jovial, and a blunt sober MFer, kind of happy take no shit from pencil dick metro boys when not drinking type of guy. This Shiner is pretty good.

AJ, quit being all friendly and shit....

I must agree, the Shiner does hit the spot on a hot day. Heck, sometimes even a Coors original tastes good. I prefer Shiner with brisket or some nice ribs with beans, greens, and fried pickles personally.
You ever come to CO we have some craft brews that will knock your socks off! Just had two different CO brewery IPAs while working in the garage tidying up and feeling pretty good myself.....

beer does nothing for me.....mostly tastes like piss if im honest.

give me a nice whiskey or a good moonshine any day.

Love the Shiner! They make several different kinds beside the Bock but they're very hard to find around here in Louisiana. Their Wicked IPA is a kicker, but I really prefer their Blonde and just plain ol' straight Shiner beer.

When it comes to beer, it is undeniable that you AmeriYank's are starting to catch up. But it is also undeniable, that ya'll still have a ways to go. It's a learning curve, and ya'll'r just getting started. Don't kid yourselves (unless you need the pat on the back/participation trophy) but you're on a good path. Now, we've still got miles to go, with regards to good Bourbon. I don't deny that, nor do I say that we are even a contender. But beer...... please!

Whatever shit hole you live in I been there and drank their swill, yeah its good but I gotta tell you , the craft brewers here are kicking the shit out of most any beer I have had in the 100+ countries I lived in or visited. Including your damp cold miserable homogeneous hockey playing country.

The best Canadian beer I've ever tasted is by far & away, no doubt about it Picaroon's Blonde Ale. All I can say is "Damn!" This beer is better than Tim Horton's coffee. If you've not had the pleasure it's worth a trip to Canada just to savor the taste of Picaroon's Blonde Ale.

For sure Canukistan has great beetr, really great beers , I just think they are not better than the US beers at this time. Now Timmys, I love that place, not teh coffee but the chocolate donuts, the donuts are better than DD but the cofee is not as good. I love the lunch specials, sandwich soups, especially when its 40 below in Edmonton.

Nope. I'm pretty sure I said "You're Fucked Up". Numerous times. Now leave me outta your mouth unless you brush first. :p

But thx for the thought, ya cranky fucker.;)

Update? How we feel'n today?

Hahahahaha. I cannot count the number of posts I have made after hitting a bottle of bourbon pretty hard, but didn't realize I had even made the post until the next day. Almost as many times I have said out load, "I said that?" I probably owe a few apologies that were never made. Anyways, I'll knock one back for you, @ArmyJerry.

Tastes vary.

I have endured a litany of "crafted beers" for more than a half century. They all strive to be "different", which usually translates to the dark pigmentation owing to some sort of exposure to overly charred wood, the excess bitterness of overpowering hops, or the investiture of some foreign matter flavoring to "improve on the taste".

I was raised on Budweiser, Ballantine's, and Schaeffer's beers, back when they were local beers brewed right in my hometown of Newark NJ. I have always preferred the crisp and clear flavors of Bud and Busch (never Light, a truly vile abomination). They were on draft at the corner tavern, and kegs opened one day were leaving the brewery the night before.

I'll stick with that, even if it has to come Pasteurized, and out of glass.

A Neanderthal, I? Probably. I'll take it.

I know what I like, I've had over a half century to make the determination, and I'll not be changing now. These days, with the CHF, I can only drink a bottle, or at most two, a day; so I'll make it something I know and have liked for a nice little handful of decades.

If you ever wonder why there is a bunch of Anheuser Busch breweries scattered across this Natrion; its folks like myself who must proudly bear that accompanying blame.

Amen

Can't drink much beer but love a good whiskey or a properly made gin martini. However, a good martini is hard to find. Most are all about the EXTRA DRY martini. Pile of shit if you know anything about cocktails
