Was there anything special about the early SPS guns versus the later ones?
I bought my 308 right when they first came out and the first thing that hit me was the lack of a "warning" on the barrel and the word "Tactical" in big letters.
The fact it is a sub MOA gun with shit ammo and the stupid rubber stock (I've changed the stock finally) also seems amazing. I am not new to Remingtons or 700's by any stretch, but you always hear the stories that go like "Oh the first 1000 were special built to get the line going" or some BS.
Just curious.
