Spoke with Mr. Bill Richie today and he offered a fair solution to the issues with the EDM .338 Lapua we have been shooting. I have been home long enough get laid and rethink my anger issues with this rifle. I attended a Skype conference and asked to give the system another chance as it does have a long and stable history in the gun market, and that fact should be taken into consideration. The other rifle offered to us is new on the market and not proven in combat. Bill and I agreed to upgrade the bipod with the new hand guard/bipod set up that EDM manufactures to solve the balance problem. In addition he is going to add on an adjustable cheek rest and hard case, which is above and beyond what anybody could expect from a vendor. The rifle will get a new trigger and safety, and he will shoot it and return it in time for me to redeploy. Not sure how anybody could do more. I am looking forward to making the world safe for democracy, one bullet at a time.

That's the customer service we were talking about.

Well...I'm glad to hear that you took the advice of many here saying "give Bill a chance to make it right" and that everything worked out (and...of course...that you got laid in the meantime). Perspective is a helluva thing ain't it!

Seriously...that's a great bit of service from Bill and a lesson that many in the industry could learn from. I'm sorry that the rifle was in that condition that you described in the first place, but at least things are moving in the right direction. I hope that the rifle meets your expectations and requirements once it is back in your hands. Should you have a chance to put it through its paces, or at least a thorough inspection, before you redeploy...be sure to post another update. I'm interested in hearing how this all turns out and I'm sure others who have followed your threads on this issue are as well.

Good luck and Godspeed.

Ive met Bill and his wife at a few gun shows in SLC Utah and have heard nothing but great comments on his products and customer service.

Im glad to see you resolved it with him and Im not surprised he was willing to make you happy and fix the issue.
