Great to have the old site up and running! Question is, has anyone played with the Eotech Vudu 3.5-18 yet? I know Eotech has gotten a bad name lately with their sights, but just curious about their venture into FFP precison optics.

Like you, I would love to know more. I posted a thread a while back on the Scout Hide basically asking the same thing, but to no avail. My guess is these may getting the cold shoulder due to their history with the holographic sights. They appear to have some good features for their price point, with the exception of the reticle, which is a very weak effort. The field of view provided by the 3.5-18 is very appealing to me. For the price they are asking they had better have dead-on tracking and some respectable optical performance if they want to compete. I just don't want to spend $1,700 for a brand new optic that hasn't seen some field use.
Check out this post from BigJimFish on the scout Hide. Being built by LOW is a good thing, but you still have to deal with EoTech if there is a problem...

3-18 Zoom range; boring turrets; dumb reticle that looks like it was drawn with a crayon.... Guys, they may be trying to go after some mk6 market share.
I'm interested in their 1-6 more than the 3-18. Reasonable price, reasonable weight, if their reticle is bright, they may have a winner there.
If you could purchase one for a much cheaper price than retail (3.5-18), would you do so? I'm looking at this or a Sig Tango 6 3-18.
I've seen the 1-6 retail for around $1000, which pits it near the Steiner T5Xi, Razor II type crowds.
It would have to be a really good price for me to take a chance, seems like there is hardly any real world info on them.
Played with the 1-6 at SHOT and it was much more impressive than the 18x. The glass was decent on par with Vortex but hard to really tell indoors not having them side by side. The Illumination I thought was much brighter which I liked for use as a red dot substitute. Otherwise ret and knobs on Vortex I liked better.
