Movie Theater "F16 INSANE PILOT! EXTREMELY LOW FLY BY IN AFGHANISTAN"

There is one that I don't think is public where a 16 comes in to do a show of force on some guys in a green zone. He literally takes branches off the trees and lights some on fire with his exhaust.

When I worked on the UU Bar in Cimarron the F-111's from Cannon AFB would fly over us at tree top level. We would be working cattle in the mountain parks and you couldn't hear them coming. All of sudden there would be this great roar and you could feel the heat of the exhaust as they flew past. Cattle would scatter in every direction.

My dad fought the Norks and ChiComs and he said Air Force always came in as high as they could get away with and Marine air would come in much lower but he told me that the NZ Air Force flying surplus P-51’s would knock the tops of trees off every time.

Had one pass overhead while work EOR at Hill just after they got the F-16, just not that fast. It was close, so close the pilot from Denmark crashed and exposed the crew to Hydrazine. The pilot used all the fuel in the fuselage tanks without xfering from the wing tanks. Once that happens, there was no way, at that time, to move fuel from the wings. That happened about 1/2 mile out. It was a glider at that point.

Let's see those aluminum clouds roll across a lake at 70mph!

The Hydrazine is used to power the apu so he could have surface controll, stinks.

Wing fuel in the F-16 transfers by two methods and both are automatic and cannot be controlled by the pilot.

Bleed air pressure/suction is primary and it forces the fuel into the fuselage tanks. As a fail safe, the fuselage fuel transfer pumps have a 1/2" fuel line that is routed to small turbine pumps that spin those pumps and help transfer in case of bleed air pressure failure from the vent box.
External fuel tanks (if installed) transfer via bleed air pressure.

Please study the non-referenced material that was not provided.

There will be a 25 question test Friday at 0830.
This will account for 36.87% of your final grade.
Thank you, and good luck. We're all counting on you.

But but his story sounded so much better.

Was all that in place on the A model? Not that it matters, engine out hit hydra.

On the way back from a match, I was driving westward towards Snoqualmie Pass and heard a roar from behind and then saw a F18 above the lake and swerving through the pass to avoid the mountains. He was followed a second or two later by his wingman. Wonderful!

I'm pretty sure all of the A models were upgraded a bit and sold to some small Asian country. 😁

Way before my time.

Hydrazine was to run the (EPU) Emergency Power Unit to prevent dead stick in case of total generator/engine failure.

I fucking hated working that system.

Agree. I prob would not have posted it the second F16 wasnt included.
Don’t get me wrong I wouldn’t bitch seeing the first one in person, second plane put him to shame though.

I live in Vegas and often drive through Death Valley into Cali during the non-summer months to see family/friends living over there and can't tell you how many times ive been buzzed by F16s, F18s F15s (and once by an F35) on CA routes 190 and 178 in a similar manner as shown in those vids. Love it each time it happens...it happens so fast that i have zero time to try and film any of it...Lots of folks hang out at Star Wars canyon right on rte 190 and film all day for days, posting the vids on YouTube.

Just yesterday, an F18 SH (prob from Lemoore) buzzed CA route 46 by the James Dean intersection w/Rte. 41 prob not more than 100 feet off the road. Approached from my 6oclock, the sound made me think my car was exploding for a split second until I saw the thing streak overhead through the sunroof. It did a couple barrel rolls and disappeared behind some mountains.

Gee. sorry I got some of the details wrong it was 1979. But here’s a link to the event. And yes I was one of the poor slobs that got exposed to the hydrazine. And actually it went in in the under run not the over run. And if you need to know the difference I would more then happy to explain it to all you experts.

Was up in Willow Grove Pa .just outside Willow Grove Naval Air Station and had a Blue Angel F18 pass maybe 15-20 ft overhead .
Trust me when I tell you I lost a set a drawers . I swear my car came off tha fuckin ground .

I don't know what they were but back in the late 70's we were in jr high gym class playing softball. 2 fighters came over the school at tree top level tilted on their side with the pilots waving at us. They stood them on their tail and did a vertical climb over the pine plantation behind the school. The 25 ft pines were really whipping in the jet wash when they did it. Very cool to us 13 year olds.

My Grandparents used to have a camp in the ADK, near the Stillwater area. About 1/3 of a mile up the road, was a DEC fire tower that was
no longer in use, but still maintained. We would climb it, and some days you could see the A-10"s from Camp Drum rolling in. Because we were already above the tree line, we were looking at them from a level view.

Never will forget the sound those things made!
Fing loved it!!!!
And the smell ! Nothing like it!

I spent a summer building part of the panel wall that stretches the side of I90. Right across from Keechelus Lake. Normally once a day there would be 2 F18's that would fly over the water probably 20-50 feet. We were on the hill so they where below us. A beautiful sight. Apparently (what I was told ) they use the snow shed at the end of the lake as a mock bombing run.
Either way it was awesome to see them.

I spent some time in the bush in Africa. The theater medevac bird was a Pilatus PC12 and we would always clear the pilot for a low approach hoping he would take it.
He would take that PC down the runway at about 7 ft off the deck and then loop back around to land. He was good.

I used to live in canton Ohio. Very close to the pro football hall of fame. When they did the first Monday night hall of fame game, back in the 90's, the blue angels decided to practice doing fly overs on Sunday. They had never had fly before. The flight path was directly over my little house. I was standing in my kitchen heard this hellish noise thought a plane or something horrible was about to crash into my house. Looked at my wife like oh this is it... finally figured it out after a couple passes. When I went outside and watched you could see the pilot in the cotpit they were so low. There were stories in the paper the next day that they had actually shattered some peoples windows. Quite a surprise to see in your back yard truly thought i was gonner when I first heard that noise.

Engine porn.

It’s hard to beat the old aircraft sounds, a radial, Allison or a Merlin are chub inducing. Even better when the later of the two are in a hydroplane.
Agreed. I live near the Paul Allen museum and before covid, they would have airshows over Paine Field that would overfly the condo...P51s, ME109, Zero, F6F (or F3F) and sometimes a Spit and P40F
