Mine was hard to turn as well... The only thing I noticed was when it was in the sun for a while it loosened up a little. But as soon as it was back home it was tough again.

one i had(and sent back) was tight as heck as well. might wanna stick the scope in the freezer for a bit, and watch the reticle as u turn the power ring...

Just because it happened to you, does not mean it will happen to everyone, besides, I know that I don't shoot anything once it is in my freezer.

Everything else works just fine, and the scope has had no issues with the shooting buddy I got it from.
If a tight power ring is my cost for an affordable mil/mil FFP for my carbine/backup scope then so be it.
