I prefer fedex ground over ups ground due to the fact they deliver on Saturday.

Kinda like voting, but that's another story. It's not which is "the best" for what you're wanting, but who's the "least worst"?
That said though, up here we have had SO MANY less issues, and SO MANY less charges/extortion fees with FedEx.
That other crappy brown company, well,,, they've earned their color.

I use fed ex over the brown clown just for the reason i can go pick up an item at the local store that day after 5 if I'm not home.

will never give any more of my time and money to Fed(up) EX.
I always end up having to drive to the closest pick up center which is an hour away.
but I guess ot depends on where you live. Im sure there are good drivers and bad drivers in different places. But in Auburn AL beware of Fed EX.

Yep. I've had bad experiences with both. I use USPS whenever possible.

USPS can kiss my ass.

They're nothing more than a government run monopoly (the only kind of monopoly) that's a huge money suck on society and that can't manage to run in the black.

I shipped a chopper frame to Hawaii via FedEx. I took the crate to a FedEx facility where THEY weighed and measured the crate. I then payed the shipping costs before they ever took possession of the the crate. I received a bill about three months later for an outstanding balance. After calling the billing department I was told that when the crate arrived in Hawaii it was larger than they had originally measured and this was the cause of the increase. I was told "we use a laser measuring device and it's 100% accurate". I responded "yeah, it's the same measuring device your employees used at the shipping terminal where the item was originally shipped." She basically told me that didn't matter, the package is bigger now so you owe us more money. The damn crate didn't grow in transit and if it did thats not my problem. I told her she could stick that bill in the first orifice she could reach. She said " we can credit you back the $26 late fee." I said "great! when you figure out what to do with the rest of it let me know." She must have found an orifice to stuff it in because thats the last I heard from them.

Agree completely, I use FedEx when I can because of having the same problem with UPS and their pickup center that you have with FedEx.

Agree completely, I use FedEx when I can because of having the same problem with UPS and their pickup center that you have with FedEx.

FUCK FedEx! I say it every time I the there truck. While deployed I ordered a gifts for my step son for his birthday and a few things for my wife as well..... shipped FedEx. Shipment was from a site that I regularly order from and usually have good USPS shipping (yes I said USPS). For some reason the BASTARD driving the truck decided to drop off all of my sons freakin gifts 5 streets down. Now I've checked and the shipping address is correct and the name is also correct, oh did I mention that they even let the person sign for it and didn't verify SHIT! Only reason i figure he got the presents was the family opened them up and saw they were for a 4 year old, and the boxes said HAPPY BIRTHDAY ........ From Afghanistan! So after a complaint I had also ordered from Wal-Mart a dog toy (leave on door step) and a steam cleaner (sign for). Well dog toy never made it to the house and was returned and the steam cleaner got there fine (Complaint). So after getting back I then proceeded to get some work done on my 700 barrel and bolt ( SEE HERE See Here! ) . Well shipped it out USPS yes USPS in a double scoped rifle case and had strapped down and about an inch of bubble wrap around it. Made it thru the postal system fine work was done and the shipper sent it back FedEx. Well truck pulled up and a 'home boy and his home girl' got out of the truck and opened it up, he slid the package (rifle case was in the original box as well) out of his truck and proceeded on standing it on end and dropping it out of the truck on the pavement. I signed for it and took it into the house, well they dropped it somewhere along the line that it pulled out of the straps ripped thru the packing and stuck the case wall and broke the trigger off (complaint). After contacting shipper and FedEx the barrel was again shipped thru the 'home boy' again. FedEx stated the damage was not there fault (package was insured) and they weren't going to take any further action, well the smith and I didn't like that and argued more, finally they agreed and shipped it to him and the trigger was replaced. About this time I had ordered christmas presents for my wife and my son as well. On the day of the barrel arriving I was up early waiting, and waiting, and waiting, nope came the next day. So I was up waiting and noticed not 1 but 2 different FedEx trucks drive by the house at 0830 and 0900, neither stopped. So upon leaving the house about 1700 (well after delivering time) we got to the end of the street when a truck passed up, we flipped a bitch and met the driver in the drive way (same homie). He then gave me the package and proceeded on his way back to the truck NO FUCKING SIGNATURE ON A 2000$ INSURED PACKAGE THAT HAD "SIGNATURE REQUIRED" ON IT. After getting back out of the house he jumped out of the truck and said he needed the signature (complaint). The next day we were setting at the house reminiscing about this guy and a knock on the door. It was the same guy who had received my packages before, he handed me 3 boxes and said the same 'Homie dropped them off today and had him sign for them and left. FUCK FEDEX, UPS has better service and better delivery times and ALOT better customer service. FUK FEDEX
