I just ordered one of these slide rule style calculators made by Adaptive Consulting & Training Services and I am very excited. I picked up a Kestrel from a friend for $50.00 that I have been using just fine, only problem is that it is a 3000 model and doesn't display the density altitude. I haven't been able to bring myself to drop $250+ on a new Kestrel with this feature, so to find a slide rule that can give me the information I need for $40.00 was to good to pass up.
I've watched the video with Frank demoing the FDAC, anyone else have anything to say about it? Does anyone know if they plan to make a FDAC in other calibers as well? I am assuming that I will at least be able to get the density altitude without a correction that I could put into my Shooter app when I am shooting other calibers.
