Been struggling with muzzle movement and seeing my misses with my 6.5 Creedmoor AR10 (LWRCI MKII REPR Elite). I've been using it (always suppressed) in local gas-gun competitions out to 1,000-ish yards, and always had to depend on spotters. Decided to try a good muzzle brake instead of the can, and WOW ... what a difference. The concussion is "impressive" to say the least, but once I got used to that, I realized that if I did my part to load the bipod and hold a good position, I'd squeeze the trigger, gun-go-bang ... and my scope picture didn't move at all. Spotting hits and misses was super easy all of a sudden. Probably not a revelation to you experienced Hideans ... but the difference between post-shot sight picture with this Fat Bastard vs. a Suppressor really surprised me. I need to re-think my strategy on my longer-distance rifles too.

How many rounds fired? I’ve found that my gen 2 little bastard gave me a headache over the course of a 1 day match.
30-ish ... just a range-trip to try it out. Stretched it to 500 yards and easily saw hits and misses. No headache, but was only shooting for 15 minutes. Funny story ... cranked 500 yards into my Kestrel, and saw misses low for some reason. Realized everything works better if you actually crank that 2.7 mils into the elevation turret. It was a good test of (a) the muzzle brake, and (b) my low IQ.

I have one I am waiting to put on my .300 PRC when I get the barreled action back. It is rated the best break (also the loudest!) I am glad you think highly of it.
It's awesome. Didn't need to screw with those tiny top-ports at all. No jump whatsoever ... at least none shooting from a bench. But this was 6.5-CM ... bigger calibers may be different.

Its why I deal with the muzzle rise of the can. I wanted to test it out and the recoil taming is impressive but I made it two shots with my hellfire before I couldnt take it anymore. I felt it in the back of my skull for the next day and a half. I may not be close to winning but I also dont hate my life afterwards.

I’ve actually found that the hellfire didn’t give me a headache like the APA did... I enjoy shooting suppressed way more, but I’ll stick with the brake for matches.

    Lol
I can shoot my sidewinder all day.
Maybe the lack of grey matter is an advantage finally.

Any reasonably good brake will. I can't wait until my silencer comes. Even with double ear protection including wax plugs and big ear muffs my ears ring and I get a headache after a match and it holds me back. If I can eliminate my own guns noise... please.
