Is there a minimum, maximum standard?
One of my rifles the pin only protrudes .029, (Factory set-up). If you subtract the primer seating depth,(.007) the net protrusion is .022. Seems short to me. All my others protrude .048 to .050.
I just had a missfire on the one with .029 protrusion and the primer showed a very light strike. Mark was like a very light tap with a center punch. Head space is correct.
Checked the bolt internals for anything that would interfear and all was as it should be, clean and lightly oiled.
