First grouping with new rifle @ 100 yards

I went out this morning to the local range. Temps were around 30 degrees with relatively little wind, maybe a few mph here and there. I bore sighted the rifle last night, then got it on paper at 50 yards for about 10 shots with Federal bulk .223. I then set it up at 100 yards and shot three rounds of the Hornady 53gr HP W/C Match ammo to adjust zero. Then I shot this 5 shot group. I was very impressed with it! I rarely shoot rifle,m besides my AR, and have never shot a bolt action before. I can't wait to get some more rounds through it.

It's a Remington 700 VSSF II

It'll only get more addicting as you push it out farther. Nicely done.

Hard to read but its says .689 MOA, I would take that any day.

Thanks! I just picked up a Remington 700 Target Tactical to go along with this VSSF II. Can't wait to get a scope and sight that one in too!

Never seen a VSSF that wouldn't shoot right. Runnin 52gr Amax's or 53gr HP Match Hornady's through mine pushed by 25.5 gr of RL15.....5 moa's the norm to 400...further if I try

I too was impressed with the two VSSF rifles we fired out of the box, over the years the groups just got tighter! That is a great purchase.
