Speaking of torque specs, does anyone have data on how much torque will it take to cause deformation to a barrel? Speaking in reference to set screw gas blocks, .625 and .750 AR15 barrels. Thought I saw data somewhere before?

If you're thinking about bore deformation, just from 30 years of dealing with machinery I'm gonna say that a gas block set screw is incapable of being tightened enough to ever do so.

From Vortex, Glock 34 gen 5 with Venom. 15 in/lbs dry torque, 10 in/lbs wet torque.

Are you sure the Glock front sight screw is a UNS #2 or #3?

You sure it is not an M3?

That chart does not show equivalence between UNS and Metric screw sizes and torques. That's not how it's used.

Looking at the aftermarket sights such as Ameriglo, Trijicon, etc. Yeah sure the factory metal. ones may be metric. So how is it used?

Glock doesn't seem to put out any torque setting besides "hand tight". We have seen some feedback ( like here: http://blog.suarezinternational.com/2017/08/screw-it.html ) saying that it should be about 6 inch lbs. That would be our thought as well.

The Manners spec is for their Mini-Chassis. Tighten the front to 65 in/lbs and the rear to 45 in/lbs.

If pillar bedded, unless specified otherwise, I would torque to 65 in/lbs front and rear screw.
