If one had a FN SPRA1A with the DBM(older 4 round) would a Williams all steel floorplate(yes old school hinged floorplate) drop in without filling voids, etc?

I know the new TBM is advertised as drop in, I just wanted a floorplate.

Of course, proper bedding would be in store.

Thanks!

Oh, it's feasible, but will require a fair bit 'o filling. Might be better off ordering a new stock with the proper inlet and selling the one you currently have

copy, tks!

Now, as I understand, the "footprint" of the W70 and FN's are the same? So a floorplate/DBM/TBM from SPS/TSR would work with a W70 action? If so, the stock inletted for "x" metal would work?

I know there are, but they are sometimes difficult to find. Pacific Tool and Gauge makes a drop-in replacement for the factory hinged bottom metal. You can get it in aluminum, anodize aluminum, CM steel or stainless.
