Does anyone know what is a good spray adhesive for joining the top layer of foam to the center layer? I just want the top layer to be a bit more rigid which would be achieved by attaching it to the middle (uncut) layer. I have a Nanuck 995 case for my Tikka T3x TAC A1. Thanks

Thank You! The case manufacturer emailed me and said Gorilla would work fine as well as 3M Super 77 adhesive. I don't want to spray both sides because I don't want adhesive where the rifle is going to be sitting on the second layer of foam. I will just spray it full wet on the underside of the top layer and then line it up and stick it to the second layer. Thanks!

I've used the 3M 77 spray adhesive for many years. It does a great job of bonding naugahyde together as well as bonding naugahyde and foam to aluminum.

pretty much any decent multi-purpose spray adhesive will work fine. the 3M 77 or HDX brand can be found at your local home depot.
spray one side only like contact cement, allow to dry until tacky, and then put them together if you want to be able to take it apart.
spray both sides and allow to get tacky before putting them together if you want it permanent.

obviously you need to mask areas you don't want to be sticky.
you can also spray some of the adhesive onto a piece of cardboard and use a brush or your finger to put some in spots you want it to stick better.

C’mon now, we wouldn’t want glue on our rifles either. I put the foam in the case how it will sit and trace the rifle cutout on the lower piece. Then, I use painters tape to cover up anywhere the rifle will be. Spray both sides with glue, remove the tape, place the two sides together.
