New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
When out shooting with the can, do you have to have the original form 4 with you, or would a notarized copy suffice? How about notarized copy that has been reduced by half and laminated?
Yep. I have only been questioned about mine once at the range and an explanation of the law and a copy of my form 4 was all that was required. It's sort of funny.... here, the younger cops that I go shooting with all know the NFA laws ( 'cause most of 'em have at least one or two NFA items themselves) but the older ones don't. Odd.
I carry a simple Xerox copy folded in my back pocket. If anyone really has an issue with it, they can pull out their handy phone and call BATFE to check up on me.
In addition to a half size laminated in the glove box, I have a really shrunken one laminated , the size of my driver's license. You can read the serial # and other pertinent info. It's in my wallet. Only the one can, so far.
