I’ve only ever used my dies for 250s since my old TRG was 12 twist. Got a new 10 twist TRG and some Berger 300 Hybrids. I noticed the seating die crushed the meplat on my dummy round. Took the die apart and sure enough the meplat bottoms out inside the seating stem. My die set is probably 10-12 years old so maybe they’ve fixed this since then, but has anyone else ran across this issue with this die? I tossed the stem into a 5C collet in the lathe and drilled some clearance for the meplat and now it works fine. Seems like a goof on the part of Forster.
