I was trying to decide between a 5-25 and a 4-16 ATACR for a new AR that's coming. I was assuming the 4-16 would have a larger field of view, but I called NF to confirm. To my surprise, the FOV at 16X on the 5-25 is actually bigger than the 4-16 at 16X. They called me back while I was driving so I didn't get the numbers written down, but it was on the order of 10 percent, IIRC.

Cool. It'd be interesting to see where the 7-35 comes in at the same. I have a 4-16 and a 5-25. I like all of 'em but the 4-16 is a much more versatile optic size-wise. The 5-25 is a lot bigger.

Is this a AR 15 or a AR 10?

If a 233 or grendel, 4~16x 42F1.
If a AR 10 in one of the creed offerings for steel and matches, defiantly a 5~25x56 in TreMor 3. If a pickup gun for quick shots at coyotes or something similar, 4~16x42F1

for the AR platform, I prefer the 4-16's personally, we happen have them in stock as well...
