I found myself in the need of a paper target frame that was lightweight, durable and capable of breakdown for travel. Some buddies of mine showed me that they were simply using old political signs for bull’s eye type targets, but I wanted something that could hold a full size POST style silhouette target. I was about to reinvent the wheel and put something together with wood, when I came upon this link: http://bulletin.accurateshooter.com/2009/02/build-a-simple-portable-pvc-target-stand/
I went to the local building supply shop and picked up the needed items. Minutes later I had my target frame.
I'll either use tent stakes to anchor it when the wind dictates, or fill with sand. I did not glue the pieces together (for ease of replacement if damaged), but I read that you could even fill the base with water for added weight. Total cost was around $25 bucks.
