I think most new coming will find more detail to start their new FTR rifle. Let's share some for them.

Modern shooter prefer heavier projectile like 185 , 210 , 215 and 230gr


Normally, gunsmith start with .090" FB for 168 - 175 smk

So, could you please share experienced about proper freebore per projectiles.

155.5 ; .050" FB
168 ; .088" FB
175 ; .088" FB
185 ; .103" - .168" FB
190 ; .114" - .168" FB
200 ; .170" - .200" FB
215 ; ?
230 ; ?

Good info thanks for sharing, also another thing to take into considerstion. What twist barrels will work with what weight an minimal speed needed per weight.

and JBM has a list of bullet lengths.
