Indeed... I’m no gunsmith, but able to build a rifle or 1911 and do minor fitting work with ease, but stippling is more akin to being able to paint or maybe sculpt; have to have a fine hand/feel as well as a good eye.
I’m neither by any stretch of the imagination, and sent my G21 out to have the stippling done.

This is known as being roto-coronetic. Eating the corn from one side to the other, along the cob, is called smith coronetic.

Amazingly, it appears to still have all the original glass. I once bought some land that had a 46 Ford in similar condition. I went back a few weeks later and someone had broken all the windows and headlights.
One of my cats, Roscoe, has a similar way of making what I am explaining to him seem irrelevant and silly.
