I’ve spent the night on the USS Kidd with a pack of Cub Scouts. Except for a couple places, like the engine room, we had the whole ship to ourselves that night. The Horace Wilkinson I-10 bridge got shelled many times that night

Absolutely beautiful pic.
Make a blue collar working man's truck that he can afford. There was a time when the big 3 did that but those days are long gone.Good luck buying a truck from anyone these days for a blue collar wage. Perhaps GM should learn from their marketing and, you know, make a truck we can actually afford.....
You make a good point. I grew up in a small town (graduated in 80) back then it was farm boys and rednecks who drove pickups. Somehow over time trucks became very popular with everyone else, and yes they wanted all the amenities of a luxury car put into a truck. The problem isn’t completely the manufacturers fault. No one buys a plain Jane work pickup everyone needs all the new electronic bullshit.
No one really makes those though. No new trucks are coming with crank windows, manual locks, rubber floors etc. Everything is loaded. Trucks are way bigger and way heavier than they used to be, and all the options are partly to blame. The problem isn’t completely the manufacturers fault. No one buys a plain Jane work pickup everyone needs all the new electronic bullshit.
