Goofiest looking prowler I've ever seen.

My daughters mother bought some game trail camera's after a theft of an expensive bicycle.

WASP - this is up the road from you...exactly in your AO if you see him wandering get an id will you?

I see shapes of burglary tools in the right pocket..

Re: Game trail camera catches photo of prowler

No it has an infrared flash - I"ve stood in front of it with a peace sign and never saw it - switches to infra red at night.

He sees it though but is unsure, bent over by the length of his arms.

THere are more pediphiles in that town than any other town in the state of washington, maybe because of the prison there or something..

That's Shelton WA if any LE from that area are onboard...

While my daughters mom maybe slightly off kilter, I don't want anything happening.

THere is a 35 minute delay between his arrival and departure..

Re: Game trail camera catches photo of prowler

I woulda had a scare for him but that's my daughters house not mine, it's 45 miles south in WASP's ao...

Bad town for meth, illegal ALIENS, and pediphiles...just a bad shithole of a town in general.

Re: Game trail camera catches photo of prowler

If I'm not mistaken, dispatch can associate comments with addresses. That way if she ends up calling 911 for a prowler, they know that it's been reported before and this isn't just a case of little johnny next door jumping the fence. I would file a police report, give them the picture (who knows, the local police may know him), and ask them to do some extra patrols in that area.

In cases like these, I would say the best route to go is prevention. I know how much everyone would like to catch this guy, and chances are he will be caught in the near future (and probably has been caught before). But She needs to put up some motion activated flood lights, and a couple signs that state "Video surveylance in use".

Don't wait until this scum bag does something worse. If he's coming back multiple times, he's planning something.

Re: Game trail camera catches photo of prowler

does she know how to defend her self,if not i would put her in some classes and notify the police about this pervert, it looks like the way he is standing that he was watching somebody

She did all of that, Shelton PD has a copy of the pic, case opened, motion activated floodlights - that's suspiciouis that they did not kick on - maybe she turned them off by accident.

I'm going to go down tonight to pick up my daughter and go examine the ground under her window...

Oh yeah, not worried about that - I've also given my daughter a couple of techniques from Shotokan to use against an attackers face, if done properly will allow an escape..

Re: Game trail camera catches photo of prowler

Wtf? This is for real?

If so this guy is a fuckin weirdo, who slouches like that? Looks like a snapsot of bigfoot.

Is he actually on her property? Looks like a backyard?

Re: Game trail camera catches photo of prowler

Now I see what's really bugging me about that picture.

The bastard is wearing gloves.

Premeditation....

Re: Game trail camera catches photo of prowler

He hung around for 35 minutes... He's not there to steal a bicycle. This scumbag is dangerous . As stated above a big dog is a great idea. I would make copies of the photo and post them in the area.

Good luck

Re: Game trail camera catches photo of prowler

Arctic, did you or daughter suspect someone had been in the back yard, hence the camera? Should be a way to set up a light/buzzer to trip on inside the house to warn if someone is moving around outside, just a thought.

Re: Game trail camera catches photo of prowler

have any of you played airsoft at night with some friends around your house when you see a light come on you duck down in hopes that your not spotted, this is exactly what this asshole is doing except hes not playing around. it is premeditated he is there to do some real harm and you and your local pd need to bring this scumbag down and lock him away forever

Re: Game trail camera catches photo of prowler

I see cheap sneakers = some things pointy placed in back yard at night , piece of plywood with box of 2 1/5" screws sticking out. At least under the windows.

Re: Game trail camera catches photo of prowler

Got a couple chemlight trip wire set ups, or couple those gun show trip units that hold a 12g shotgun round ( flare or pop bang version,, never use a real round with short metal sleeve over shell because that would be illegal )

Re: Game trail camera catches photo of prowler

Drove down there to get my daughter and got to see the full 8x10's of it - she showed me hte 8x10's of the cops coming to take the report too - that camera is cool - infrared at night.

From his vantage he was NOT looking at hte camera, he was ducking below the front window.

The camera takes pics in 3's, so he came and left after looking in the side window.

35 minutes later he's coming OUT of the yard.

The police have been appraised, my daughter is 45 miles north with me....

Scary part is that I "THINK" based on his shoe size in teh DAYLIGHT pic she has of him coming back the next day - that it's a size 11-12 - and there "appears" to be a set of shoe prints under my daughters window.

So it's in LE's hands, the occupants have means of defense as well.

The dude's daytime pic is frightening - he's not there to sell girl scout cookies...

Re: Game trail camera catches photo of prowler

Damn man, I hope everything works out o.k. Good deal on filing the report etc. Make sure you keep us posted on when they catch this prick. I would not boobie trap the yard as someone mentioned above. The last time I read about someone doing that the bad guy sued and fricking won.

Not to make light of the situation, but what was the movie where the cop dressed in the house coat and wig? When the bad guy came in to grab 'her' the detective (possibly Stallone) turned and had a snub nosed .357 in a ziploc and was not doing dishes.

Re: Game trail camera catches photo of prowler

I have a couple of these I would loan you. Not too sure how "legal" it would be to leave a couple bear traps in your yard, but I guarantee he wouldnt enjoy stepping in one.

Re: Game trail camera catches photo of prowler

They need to find this dude. Chances are, your daughters house is not the only one on his route and he is probably already responsible for other crime in the area.

Re: Game trail camera catches photo of prowler

That is crazy, good idea on the trail cams. At least you have some sort of idea of who you're dealing with. Hopefully the police nail this guy, or he gets what he deserves whatever comes first.

Re: Game trail camera catches photo of prowler

That is one scary SOB! It looks like everything he is wearing is designed to prohibit any solid evidence from himself. A big nast dog, and a nice chunk of Maple or Oak. That dude does not need to see anything but the longest way to any kind of jail, or maybe a short straight route to the cold steel tables under the lights of the local ME

He's all bundled up, for sure, probably to avoid leaving evidence. On the other hand, that get up will soak up a lot of his blood, too, and probably not leave much on the ground.
I am NOT advocating SSS, because it would be illegal.

Re: Game trail camera catches photo of prowler

Looks like good kit for home security basics. I am thinking bear traps and punji sticks around each window. Use some obvious traps to funnel any miscreant into the punji's. Plants around the windows need no real work on foot, so anything there is fine for us. I know we have a few 'burgler' types around here and once in a while the dog perks up if someone is near by...like the little bastard that rings the bell and runs. May set the dog on his ass next time, but a picture would be killer to give the cop across the street

Re: Game trail camera catches photo of prowler

My mother in law has some real winners that have moved in next door. She isn't home during the day and is looking for a game camera or something similar because she knows the neighbors are on her property when she's not around. She wants evidence of trespassing so she can get something done about it. That cam looks like it does a pretty good job, even at night. When you get more details on it, do you mind to PM me? I'd appreciate it.

ETA: Looks like this one could be it. Anyone happen to have experience with it? Don't wanna hijack so PM me if you don't mind. Thanks.
