It looks like you're not using much effort to grip the brass, with my Giraud I get blisters and have to wear thick leather gloves. </div></div>
I don't think that is normal. Perhaps you need to readjust your blade and if that doesn't work, perhaps you need to sharpen (or replace) your blade.
I've got pencil pusher hands and the Giraud doesn't require much force to counteract the torque applied to the case when trimming if setup correctly with a sharp blade.
Also, if you didn't know, each carbide blade has three cutting edges. If one becomes dull, just mark it and rotate to the next sharp blade until you need to replace it.
That said, I've run thousands and thousands of cases on mine and am just contemplating a blade swap on my most used one. </div></div>
One blade actually got so dull it stopped cutting so I switched it to another blade. I've tried adjusting the blade and it doesn't get any easier to hold the brass. Sometimes there is no vibration and it cuts very easily and other times you need a death grip on the brass. I emailed Doug about the dull blade and he said they should last to over 100,000 cases so I don't know what was wrong with mine. I think the reason some pieces get vibration and need a tighter grip is that they are not concentric.
