I've decided to give my hand at reloading. Can someone provide me with a detailed list of what I will need as far as equipment. I've looked at several kits and they all leave a lot left to purchase. The most complete is the lyman ultimate reloading system. And for the money it seems to be a good buy.

Buy an RCBS Supreme kit, read the manual, it's all good info.

Buy a set of calipers, a shoulder bump gauge, and a bullet comparitor and you're set.

Where do you live?

the best thing I tell people is find someone local who reloads a lot or competes and see what they use to reload. Go local and get hands on.

reloading for this sport is a money chaser game and I like to buy once cry once.

press: CO-AX or Redding turret
Dies: redding
Scale: chargemaster at a minimum IMO
Calipers: Mitutoyo
Hornady headspace and CBTO comparator
Brass prep station of some sort
Brass cleaning set up. I wet tumble with a STM kit

I am sure I am missing all kinds of stuff but I recommend getting stuff to streamline the process as much as you can. Your already gone spend a lot of time reloading so making it faster is always a Goal.

I live in north Dakota so not alot of options around here. Not planning on bulk reloading, maybe 20 rounds at a setting. I have to start from scratch since there is no commercial 257 blackjack factory rounds as of yet.

Some Walmarts are putting their reloading equip. on clearance, varies by location I think.
I got a RCBS Rockchucker Master Supreme Kit for $155 here locally last week. It was on the bottom shelf in the back, had to get down there and peer through the glass with a flashligh, but there it was.
Have the clerk scan the bar code, don't go by the sticker in place, to get the right price.
That would get you started and give you things to sell or trade as you upgrade but still have a good press to start with.

I didn't need it but my oldest Grandson is going to be happy on his Birthday. Actually he will get it the next time he comes down to use Grandad's bench. Good Luck, I hope you find a deal like that.
