Rifle Scopes Good 4-12x or higher mag for $300-$400 ?

Need me some more magnification. Already have low end covered by an amazing Minox za5 1.5-8x for hunting. This will be a range only scope and thus no optics snobbery- low light performance is not a concern and I dont want to break the bank. Itll be shared by a CZ 452 and an accurized m14.


Im thinking the vortex 4-12x40 AO with a vplex(dont want to get into the BDC as my hunting scope doesnt have one)


Suggestions/opinions appreciated!

My Brother has has the Konus Pro M30 6.5-25X44 scope on his 308 Remington SPS Tactical for almost 3 years without a single problem. Resolution is excellent able to clearly see 22 caliber holes @ 100 yards with ease. and tracks very well. I was impressed with the scope (I am usually a Nightforce guy) so I decided to try one on my new SIG 716. So far not a single complaint. It has side parallax adjustment, 4" sunshade and is mil/mil with 0.1 mil per click adjustment. They run $303 at SWFA with free shipping when I got mine. Also on Amazon.com for the same price with free shipping.

Meopta Meopro 4-12x50 is a great scope if you are looking for a traditional hunting scope. Great lens quality with excellent clarity, color, and contrast. Also performs very well in lower light conditions.

German glass that is processed in the US. The scope itself is also built here in the US as well. I took a tour of their facility in NY last year and it was pretty amazing to see how many scopes they were turning out in a day.

Im thinking around $400 dunno if I can get those in Canada.

Doesnt need to be a hunting scope really- its a range toy so whatever- just want some decent mag.
