Gorilla vs Lion vs Bear: Who Wins?

What is your immediate assumption? I was sort of correct. The guest says that the Lion would likely win if it occurs in the wild and the bear likely wins if it is a cage match so to speak. The Gorilla is the smartest and strongest, but would be killed by both the lion and bear. Thoughts?

Didn't I read somewhere that Gorillas have a super high bite force and they've got decent sized fangs. Now if the Gorilla could combine those with Jujitsu black belt skills, then maybe. Can you imagine a Gorilla trained to crudley use a sword. The sheer force, eek?!
When I was a kid we went to a zoo and the King of his cage rushed so fast and hit the cage bars so loudly and hard it totally freaked me out(back then we weren't all that far away and no bullet proof glass separation). I didn't care I just wanted far away from that amount of fury and power. For the Gorilla he was just having fun showing off in low power mode.

All of us guys have always fantasized watching these kinds of battles even as debased as it is. Pretty much a cruelty but betcha some elites have arranged them before.

It's just that a Grizzly can be twice the size which is hard for the other two to overcome.

Locarion would determine the outcome. In a close quarters battle the grizzly would massacre both of them. Out in the open, my money is on the lion. The gorilla, while massively strong, it is not in the same class as either of the others.

Lions often take down buffalos 4x-5x their body weight, often by either breaking tendons in a hind limb or breaking the spine if solo before the clamp down on the neck/snout for their hallmark move. There have also been lions tossed and killed by those horns (RIP Dark Mane Avoca). But in a one on one with a bear who also has claws and teeth - tough call.

I have not. The only large bears that I have seen closer were polar bears in captivity. I have been around black bears, but those are little guys compared to Grizzlys.

I would lean towards which one has a meaner fight aggression as the only possible way a chimp is going to win one on one - this personality wise, because IMHO there's no way a 150 pound chimp is going to overcome a 450 pound male gorilla otherwise. In other words no fight in the big guy.

Look at the photos of mature male gorillas and you'll see the Sagittal crest which means "huge bite force strength". Probably enough to crush bone or remove a limb.
A Lion's bite force is approx 650 psi.
Doing a quick search on bite force strength shows a male chimp has the same 1300 psi bite force as a gorilla which just cannot be true.

Has to be other factors involved for your statement to make sense.
