Today I picked up my first .308 it is a savage model 10 tr with 24in threaded barrel. What muzzle brakes can I put on this rifle and do you guys think an aftermarket stock is necessary since it has the accu-stock

I'm hoping to buy the same rifle in the 20" version when I return from my current job assignment and plan on using Ross Schuler's brake. Do a quick search on here and you'll see he has nothing but good reviews, excellent customer service and low prices.

happy for you, doubt you will be disappointed. I have had my Savage 10 FCP-SR 5R, in .308. Only 3 wks and love it. It already performs very good and as my round count is still shy of 100 im sure it will only get better.I like the accustock actually is built well and from the accuracy Im getting must be very rigid. the barrels and trigger are great and I am impressed with the action given these aren't supper pricey. Im focused on getting some new glass! what glass did you end up with? Good luck with the new rifle should post pics.

The end price for the rifle was $470 which I thought was a steal with the egw base included. Not sure on the moa on it, but as far as glass I'm starting with a swfa ss 10x and will take that off and put it on my bolt .223 when I get it and hopefully upgrade to a 14 variable power or ss 16x. Still shopping for a muzzle brake

the 16X SWFA is exactly what Im saving for, they are very well priced on samplelist.com
