I'm in salt lake for a few days and was wondering if anyone had a line on some good local gun shops? I'm not really interested in the retails shops(cabelas, sportsmans warehouse). Thanks in advance for the responses.

Gun shops in slc area?

Gallenson's is right down-town. Get Some is about the middle of the valley. There is a small place called Bud's that is ok. If you are up north in the Ogden area, Salvo Arms just opened up south of Hill AFB and Impact Guns main location is west of Ogden proper. Impact has a few other locations, but they suck. Stick to the main location.
Those are basically all the stores that I frequent.
Get Some has the most "Black Gun" stuff and some decent LR gear too.
You should try to hook up with some of the local manufacterers though! Desert Tactical Arms is in SLC and so is SilencerCo as well as a number of others! Plus you can get out of town to the west, go out into the desert and shoot as far as your gear will take you!
