The three loads I used and the average chrono speed were:
41 gr, 2586
42 gr, 2599
43 gr, 2682
Not quite the speeds YAOG mentions, but I was pretty conservative with the loads. To date I've pretty much been a Varget guy, but I'll play with H4895 more. </div></div>
+83 FPS from 42.0 gr to 43.0 gr? I'm trying to comprehend that but find it difficult to believe.
My Hodgdon manual states 43.0 as being max for h4895 & 168 SMK. In Wnichester brass I went as high as 43.6 H4895. I don't detect any pressure signs up there, and it performs good out of my gasser but I'm still experimenting.
43.3 may be a good one. I'm using 168 Amax over it and BR-2 under it.
