Just saw one a few weeks ago down here on the 5. Looks pretty cool. Like to give it a run against the new ZR-1 vette. They are brutally fast. The only thing I have driven that pulled harder was my Anglia but that was a drag car.

Definitely in the supercar range. Have driven many cars including many racing vehicles and the fastest (top speed, and braking) has been the new ZR-1 including a few Ferrari's and Lambo's. Have driven quicker in a drag car but none faster than the ZR-1 got it up to 210 here locally. Believe it or not the last fastest was the old ZR-1 at 205 but ran out of road. Have been in better handling cars but that was a modified stock car so I don't think that counts considering the huge tire difference. (Street tire versus racing slicks). 2.46 will flat out glue you to the seat. I would love to get behind the wheel.

$17K for a set of tires and 3mpg at top speed, wow. I think the Veyron falls into the same category as a .50bmg for me, even if I can afford one someday I couldn't afford to feed it.

Feeding a Veyron (or a ZR-1, for that matter) scares me quite a bit less than being able to afford to maintain it. Tires that go well over $200 are't available down at the local gas station, and maintaining the brakes alone would put me in the poorhouse.

So put me down for a full dose of Veyron-Envy, and I'll continue putt-putting down the road in my '95 Honda with 260,000+ miles on it.

Turns no heads, and that's precisely the kind of image I prefer to cultivate. Besides, I'd love to see someone try to make a Veyron last 260,000+ miles...

ZR-1's are pretty expensive cost on the ceramic rotors are about $1500 each. We don't measure them with a micrometer you weigh them with an electronic scale (made out of ceramic). Pads are almost $600. I suppose it really isn't so bad when you consider every 3 to 4 races on the truck and it was a new set of Carrillo rods at a $1000 a set and a new crank every season God forbid you break a motor and tear up a cylinder head.

I will add my vote to this! My brother bought one of the first Ford GT's to hit the street. His isn't this fast, but is up to 750hp at the wheels!
