my tried and true CK Arms 2011 in 9mm. At least 30-40k rounds through it and still going strong

Be careful about letting the serial numbers show. BTW, nice pistol.

Yeah, I did the search thing on Google for all of my old photos...nothing came up. Maybe you're right, but as someone who did a tour in the basement of the Pentagon, I'll attest that most of our resources are placed elsewhere. Perhaps I'll learn my lesson someday ?.

How do they shoot?
The first one, with the different color, appeals especially. Because the color is different. What kind of a coating is it?

Never shot these...they are NIB with all corresponding paperwork etc... I found them at extremely low prices considering, and squirreled them away. I'll bring them out with the rest for good in 15 years or so and sell them to fund in part my daughters' educations.

Color is Colt's ion bond. They made cerakote (Gray one) but the finish held up for jack.

First duty gun now retired for yard work duty. Flattened area on the front and marred rails were from a vehicle extraction that broke the ovaled the bezel, shattered the glass and ripped the surefire x300 off the rail. Surefire warrantied the light. Glock said they would but wanted the frame. Decided to keep it as is.

This is not my pistol. I don't own one. However, the LGS has a special on it with a Vortex Venom red dot sight for $999.99.

I'm appealing to my SH brethren to talk me out of it even though I have a .45 can that hasn't found a good host weapon yet. I know you guys can find a reason to help me spend my money on something more practical like hookers and whiskey.

The sale ends on 12/31. So what should I do? Bite my nails or live with reckless abandonment and buy the darn thing (with three magazines)?

I love my FNP-45T! (later became the FNX)

My "bump in the night" rig. What's not to love about 15+1 rounds of .45-ACP goodness?!?

Though, it is a BEAST of a gun. Heavy and large. I wear "Medium" gloves, so my hands are not big, but I can still handle it. It's a smooth-shooting pistol.

You mean you do not own a defensive handgun? Then yeah, buy it. As long as you like the pistol ain't no one going to talk you out of it. I remember that grip being a bit much for my hands, but I wear a M to L size Mechanix glove. By the way, PSA has had that same deal now, pops up every so often on their "Daily Deals" email.

Those FN 45 tactical models have always ranked very high on aesthetics in my book.

Five-seveN - with extended magazine: 30+1 rounds of 5.7-mm.

I find the FNH pistol grip textures to be rough on my hands during long range sessions. The rubber version from Talon Grips works great. I think it looks good, too.

Here's the Five-seveN with the Talon rubber grip.

Black or Coyote Brown?

Remember that my can is black and so is the weapon light.

Brown is a basic earth tone color that goes with anything but black or rainbow colors.

Black, however, compliments a hooker’s escort’s string of pearls for any occasion. Or I could wear a tux when I take it shooting,

Everyone knows that brown never blends well with a tux.

This is turning out to be a harder decision than I ever anticipated.

If you have a black can for it, it makes sense to go all-black.
