Hard to extract American Gunner ammo?

Anybody here shoot American Gunner 140gr in 6.5 CM? Does it seem to be hard to extract? Any idea as to why it may be so sticky in my chamber? Seems to chamber fine, just hard to extract, especially after the first shot with that ammo. I know they say it is the same as the Hornady Black, but my rifle had a hard time extracting the Gunner, doesn’t have an issue with the Black. Also shot ELDM in 140 and 147 with no issues tha day so I can rule out dirty chamber, I think.

I also noticed Federal Non Typical to be a little sticky.

I went through two boxes recently and have shot probably a few hundred before that. Never an issue.

Maybe you got a bad lot, especially with others not having the problem

That is what I am thinking but curious on what could cause it to be so tight coming out. I have 40 rounds left and not sure if I am going to shoot it as I have to battle the bolt to extract.

It shot great out of my Bergara but it was on the hot side.

Wouldn't hurt to clean the chamber, what does the brass look like? Ejector marks, primers flattened?

There is some actual signs of drag on the down brass. Barley if any sign on the ELDM brass. Closest brass is the Gunner.

Can you show a picture of the primers on the 140 AG vs. something else that doesn't stick, like the 147's.

Also if you have a set of calipers, measure the case body diameter just forward of the rim cut-out. Find the widest part of the case and compare that to one that doesn't stick. Also can single load a round (in a safe environment), then extract it and see if there are scores on the bullet from engaging the rifling.

My guess is for some reason it's producing more pressure than the others in your rifle. If the primers are flatter, or the body dia. is more (even .001") then you know the brass was pushed harder and that's what's making it stick. Could be a number of things, either internal (powder charge, softer than normal batch of brass) or external (dimensional difference causing interference-- neck too thick for your chamber, bullet seated into the lands, etc.). If you know someone else with a 6.5 Creedmoor rifle, might be an indicator as to whether your chamber is on the tighter side and causing the interference, or if that particular lot of ammo is loaded warm.

Primers look about the same. I can only measure down to hundredths and both pieces of brass are the same at neck and above the rim. I will have to find another 6.5 to shoot it out of and see how it does. I will also try and extract a hot round to see if any scores on it.

I’ve shot a couple thousand of those in several rifles and haven’t run across any problems.

No issues with American Gunner in my SRS-A1 factory 6.5 barrel. S&B 140, however, is a bitch to extract from that barrel.

It is odd that the Gunner is so sticky in my barrel, I noticed the Non Typical was too, although not near as bad. Going to take a close look at the chamber tomorrow. Has no issues with any of the ELDM match, or Black ammo.

My AG 140s are SLOW... 9 mil to 1k? But they were never hot loads.

Just went through a 200rd box with no prob. My Rem 700 22" loves it more than anything. a little slow around 2580 but Sub 1/2" at 100.

That’s the accuracy I was hoping for since it can be had for cheap, but it was right around moa at 100 for me.
