Harris Bipod Adapter on B&C

Hello,

I didn't think through an order I received today. I bought a 6-9 notched swivel bipod from harris which I really like (had a non-swivel before).

I have a bell and carlson tactical medalist stock which has the flat forend, and it was recommended that I buy an adapter (harris #9) so that the bipod would sit better against the rifle.

The problem is, the rifle has two sling swivel studs in the foreend. The adapter is large enough so that it can only be used with the rear stud because if one were to use it with the front stud, it would collide with the rear stud (rear of the foreend, not the buttstock).

Anyways, the rifle doesn't balance as well if the bipod is attached to the rear stud (in my opinion, maybe others find that it does). I was wondering if anyone has come up with a solution to use the #9 adapter with the front swivel. I would just cut away some material, but there's a screw and not just material right where the hole would need to be.

Maybe most people aren't using the adapter. I have no problem returning it if no one thinks its necessary to use.

The front of the Manners T3 is flat and I use Harris bipods without adapters without a problem. That said if you feel better using it do so.

Also you can just remove the rear sling stud and just use the stud on the bipod for your attachment point. All my rifles have single studs for the bipod and I attach to the bipods stud with the sling.

I used the #9 adapter on my B&C A-2 for a while. I just removed the two screws and arms, turned it around backwards and used the front stud. It was ugly but worked like a charm.

Without the adapter, my bipod (same model as yours) would gouge the stock.

I finally just sanded my forearm down to resolve the issue without the adapter. Also to make it more comfortable for shooting off hand.

I just tighten mine down. It takes a lot to move it and I have no problem with it gouging the stock.
