Harris Bipod adapter?

Hey guys.. I just bought a R700 ADL Varmint as a donor rifle for a future AICS.. Going to shoot this quite a bit while searching for a used AICS, so I wanted to buy a Harris bi-pod.. Two issues here:

#1. Can any Harris Bipod I choose work with the AICS? No "ATLAS ONLY" comments please, its out of my budget for a while..

#2. The R700 ADL I bought has the flat forend. Not nearly as curved as a normal stock, so I read that I need some kind of an adapter before a Harris will fit? And no disrespect to Harris, but good information on them is difficult to find, and I cant find a straight answer if I even need an adapter or not, and which one if I do... Will be mounting to the Sling Swivel nut.

You can mount a harris onto a AICS no problem or any "conventional" style bipod for that matter. It should reach the swivel stud no problem. There's also a m1913 spigot adapter out there if you like mounting your bipods by picatinny.
