I have acquired a Remington 700 Varmint in a M24 stock. Having a hell of a time getting a load to shoot right in it. The same loads I would get sub-moa out 600 in my SPS tactical won't shoot worth a darn in this one. I have tried 168SMK 168AMAX Nosler168 with no luck. Using RL15, Varget, Benchmark. Any advise? Does the 26 inch barrel like 175's? or lighter.

Pretty normal that your other rifles loads wont run in the new stick.
The barrel length is not going to be a factor for which weight bullets to use. For that i would check out your twist. That said, either the 155 168 or 175 projectiles should probably run just fine.
You are going to need to make up a unique load for the rifle.
What have you done so far?
What I would do:
1.Verify hardware and load procedure is good to go.
2.Do a good ladder test to find accuracy nodes with load combos you are looking to try. Use a chrono and watch SD.
3.Once you find a good charge range, start tweaking.
4.Find your best COAL. Systematically move towards the lands.
5.Minimize variables. ONE thing at a time. ie, change only seating depth, or only primers.

I know rifle to rifle loads always shoot different but this one doesn't seem to like anything. I guess I'll try some 178amax and the good o'l 175 smk. Just picked up some N140 and the new 8082 XBR. Tends to shoot better seated really long but any factory load or handload say 2.800 col or under just won't group. I'm somewhat baffled, I guess I've been lucky with rifle's so far.

Might be that the first owner had the same problem...the barrel and fits might be toast. Try to work up a load...and if a big defeat...consider doing the whole nine yards of truing and a new barrel. As we used to say in the 'Nam...sorry bout that.

start looking for chipped crown and or non-concentric chamber....or really really bad barrel.......

It was pre-owned guy said he had about 150 down the tube so I figured it was about 250...haha. Just picked up a box of 175 SMK. Any pointers on what this bullet likes? I have some Varget, RL15, Tac, BLC2, Benchmark and a few others to try and bring this Frankenstein rifle to life.

It was pre-owned guy said he had about 150 down the tube so I figured it was about 250...haha. Just picked up a box of 175 SMK. Any pointers on what this bullet likes? I have some Varget, RL15, Tac, BLC2, Benchmark and a few others to try and bring this Frankenstein rifle to life.

What do you mean by no luck?
If its shithouse accuracy even with factory, I would check the barrel channel, scope mounts, scope itself by box testing etc.
If the barrel has good clearance, and the scope seems all good to go, have a smith look at the crown.
Maybe the last owner rammed a cleaning rod thru the muzzle and damaged it.
Could be many things.

If its shithouse accuracy even with factory, I would check the barrel channel, scope mounts, scope itself by box testing etc.
If the barrel has good clearance, and the scope seems all good to go, have a smith look at the crown.

Just had a Gunsmith check the crown and he said it could use a re-crown. Also said he guaranteed that the guy shot a hell of a lot more than 250 rounds down range with it. Going to just have him glass bed, Blue print the action with a new douglas barrel and be done with it.

I need a new gunsmith haha, I took off the M24 stock and noticed the aluminum bed coming into serious contact the the barrel and action. I spent all day sanding and re torqued the screws. Took the soonest trip to the range and here is the after action report 5 shot group @ 100 meters using 175 SMK!
