Rifle Scopes HELP !!! Can't get thread locker off blued action

Obviously I was too liberal in putting the scope base on this thing.
I used blue thread locker, i think it was the permatex brand. The screws came out fine but now there is thread locker coating the barrel where the base was.
Things I've tried:
WD40, Hoppes #9, butche's bore shine, alcohol, carb cleaner, tri-care, tried scrubbing on it with a plastic pan scrubber thing, and scraping with a plastic razor blade
I'm rubbing the blueing off the action but the thread locker is still there.
HELP!!!!!!! What get's this s**t off?

Fingernail polish remover. Also MILD heat will soften it and permit you to scrape it right off.

Acetone. Often packed at nail polish remover (not all are acetone though).

The heat is the best idea, it will decompose when heat is applied. Then it kinda gets crumbly, and will scrap off.

They sell acetone in a can over in the paint section at Wal-Mart

MEK will get it off, but its strong stuff. dont get it on anything you care about paint wise and dont breathe too much of it.

I don't know about latex, but it eats nitrile gloves in a flash...

+1 for acetone and a little heat. When we get some extra loctite where we don't want it a quick pass with the propane torch followed by a Q tip with pure acetone on it, rub lightly and repeat until you are satisfied.
I don't know if acetone based fingernail polish has that much acetone in it, we use 100% pure acetone from a hardware or paint supply store.
YMMV.

I ve never seen anything diesel wouldnt take off, just be careful with it.......

MEK didn't touch it, neither did Acetone, heat is what worked for me as well.

A blow torch is your best friend when dealing with theadlocker.
